Overview
Shrizz N Maze returns from its voyage into space having deciphered the code of an otherworldly musical experiment. They have named it Dope Frequency - a fusion of Martian funk with elements of rock and jazz, creating a bold sound that defies genres.
The album, which was voted Best Funk Album of the Year in the United States by Funkatopia, shines thanks to guest appearances by funk legends such as George Clinton and Amp Fiddler.
During their recent European tour, in which the American trombonist Greg Boyer (Prince, George Clinton and Maceo Parker) took part, they enthralled audiences without exception.
The Godfather of Funk George Clinton himself blessed the track Heredity, which says a great deal about the fact that Shrizz N Maze is deeply rooted in the legacy of funk, while pushing it towards new territories.
Their electrifying concerts are backed by a group of prestigious musicians from the Parisian scene.
