James Brandon Lewis (born 1983 in Buffalo, NY) studied at Howard University and received his MFA from California Institute of the Arts. He is a critically acclaimed saxophonist and composer.
He received praise from The New York Times, NPR, the Ascap Foundation, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, and great jazzman Sonny Rollins stated: "Promising young instrumentalist with potential to do great things after listening to the ancients" Jazz Magazine and was recently elected Rising Star Tenor Saxophonist by the 2020 Downbeat Magazine critic survey.
