A genuine institution of Parisian heritage since 1989, Gospel Dream celebrates life, hope and unity through the authentic songs of the African-American church. With more than 800 concerts to its name, it is today among the most active ensembles on the gospel scene.

This mixed, cosmopolitan ensemble brings together artists from Africa, the Caribbean and the United States: some twenty voices (soprano, contralto, tenor and bass) accompanied by one or two musicians.

All of them bear witness to the resilience of a people who turned pain into hope, drawing their strength from the powerful message of love at the heart of gospel. Carried by the talent of artists who elevate and harmonise every voice, from the most hushed murmurs to improvised vocal runs, these performances make each concert a genuine act of remembrance and a stirring hymn to love.

The audience is invited to sing, take part and share a suspended moment of joy, brotherhood and deep connection, regardless of age or belief.

In this exceptional setting, the fervour of African-American gospel meets the neoclassical majesty of the Madeleine: a striking encounter, in which gospel fervour from across the Atlantic engages with the solemnity of an emblematic Parisian sanctuary.
