Overview
Genre: Contemporary dance. The new creation by choreographer Carolyn Carlson Carolyn Carlson, in collaboration with four exceptional dancers, explores the irony and madness of the human condition in a visual poem built from solos and duets that merge into one another.
A poetic journey reflecting our animal instincts, our rage to live in adversity and the bareness of being human in a world of suffering, where anger, empathy and euphoria dance in a single breath.
With Islands, Carolyn Carlson confirms her stature as a maestra of contemporary dance, capable of creating stage worlds of profound beauty and meaning.
Her ability to converse with her performers, exalting their individual qualities and sensitivity, results in performances of very high emotional and artistic calibre. Pasquale Napolitano, Liguria Day. Reduced-mobility reservations: 01 40 09 44 30
