Overview
For more than fifty years, she was Victor Hugo's lover, muse, friend and accomplice in a thousand "forfaits", a story of absolute love punctuated by... 23,000 letters.
This play brings to light a first-person narrative, that of Juliette Drouet, in the dazzling Paris of the first half of the 19th century. With humour, a woman's confidences unfold, her passionate, exhilarated life transposed to the stage. A woman from the shadows who is brought into the light.
