The year is 1895, just hours before a grand premiere. The theatre is buzzing, the artists are rehearsing, the audience is growing impatient… but an essential element is missing: the claque, the troupe responsible for applauding at the right moment to support the play and influence the audience.

Auguste Levasseur, the claque leader, sees his mission turn into a nightmare when his applauders abandon him just before the performance. To save the evening, he must urgently find new talents capable of mastering the subtle art of the claque. Between misunderstandings, comical situations and artistic discoveries, the adventure promises witty lines, rhythm and a lot of spirit.

After the success of Le Siffleur, artist Fred Radix returns with an original play that humorously and creatively rehabilitates a forgotten theatrical profession. This comedy offers a jubilant moment, accessible to all.
