La Politique du Pire

Adrien Barazzone plays all the characters of a municipal council. At the heart of the debate: the installation of a work of art in place of the statue of Woodrow Wilson.

The second instalment of the Trilogie des systèmes, after Toute intention de nuire, La Politique du pire is a monologue built around a gallery of characters. A lectern, five chairs, as many microphones and fans: the debate is open and tempers flare.

From Madame Tige, the tireless chatterbox, to the mayor himself, everything is on the table.

Absurd debates, well-oiled doublespeak, small compromises and great contradictions — around the work offered to the city by Vanessa Koch, the actor orchestrates this political cacophony with sharpness and tenderness.

With biting energy, he embodies the whole of republican dialogue on his own and delivers a striking acting performance. He mischievously toys with our democratic concerns, our mistrust and our great hopes for the political class.
