Le Mal de Mère

On Christmas Day, Moïse (Max Boublil), a fragile and conscientious psychoanalyst, urgently receives in his consulting room a patient unlike any other: Madeleine (Claire Nadeau).

Desperately in need of a sympathetic ear to confide in, Madeleine, whimsical, intrusive and brimming with life, has no regard whatsoever for the framework of analysis and keeps the mystery of her past life to herself.

In the midst of a personal crisis, Moïse, helped by his supervising psychoanalyst (Pierre-Olivier Scotto), must struggle against his growing emotions, with the ghost of the "mother-son" transference hanging over his relationship with his patient.

Between quarrels, laughter and therapy, how far will the collision between these two souls thirsting for love go?
