Le Salon Revisité

Le Salon revisité Peeping Tomdanse Salle Renaud-Barrault Duration 1h15Choreographic fervour for a twilight family drama behind closed doors In a dilapidated drawing room, wounds and desires, a burdensome inheritance and power relations find expression through a sweeping, expressive and feverish movement vocabulary. Heading the company Peeping Tom, Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier work on the border between theatre and contemporary dance. In their shows with high emotional potential, the apparent realism of the sets contrasts with the dreamlike strangeness of the situations and of the bodies that haunt them. With Le Salon revisité, they recreate a piece from the early 2000s and reinvent it in a new configuration with five performers. Three dancers, an actor and a singer make up the members of a family revolving around the figure of the grandfather, an aristocratic patriarch in decline. In a dilapidated drawing room, wounds and desires, a burdensome inheritance and power relations find expression through a sweeping, expressive and feverish movement vocabulary.

A show by Peeping Tom. Conception and direction Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier (cast in progress)
