LES FOUTEURS DE JOIE

With Christophe Dorémus, Nicolas Ducron, Alexandre Léauthaud, Laurent Madiot and Tom Poisson

What a pleasure to welcome Les Fouteurs de Joie back to Jean Vilar! After a quarter of a century together, they have decided to set their course for Joy: that energy so essential to building castles, and not only in Spain, that source of life, that intoxicating sap which so frightens despots. With a myriad of instruments and their contagious vitality, they promise us a singular journey streaked with tenderness, playful mischief, questioning and hope. Each piece is a mini-show, with bucolic ballads and absurd escapades, tales of cowboys from the Pas-de-Calais or an amoral Irish aunt. Fleeting in length, delicate in feeling, it is quite possible that on leaving the show you will feel like making ripples in the water…

« With their creations, where song, theatre and burlesque go hand in hand with reflection on society, they are the delightfully unidentified flying objects of French musical performance.  » Télérama

« By turns committed, tender or offbeat, their moments of revelry sweep us along with real vigour.  » La Provence
