Les Rochambelles

The incredible true story of the only all-female unit that landed in Normandy! In 1939, Jacqueline, then travelling in New York, finds herself caught up in the torments of exile.

She crosses paths with Florence Conrad, a wealthy and eccentric American who has the crazy idea of setting up the first all-female unit of ambulance drivers at the front.

Seeing in it her ticket home, Jacqueline commits, without knowing it, to an epic adventure that will leave its mark on history. A play by Valérie Demay, granddaughter of a Rochambelle, which pays tribute to her grandmother and to these ambulance drivers, forgotten by history.
