Les Yeux Fermés

Mickaël Le Mer draws on the world of the painter Pierre Soulages for this hip hop choreography with many influences. Eight performers compose luminous graphic tableaux!

Mickaël Le Mer's choreographic writing creates a hip hop ballet with multiple influences, drawing spaces in constant transformation and playing with lines and rhythms.

His piece, Les yeux fermés, draws on the world of the painter Pierre Soulages, master of the colour black, who became so famous for his monochrome paintings. Mickaël Le Mer turns the stage into an abstract universe, an immaculate black.

Little by little, through remarkable set design and lighting work, the bodies are revealed, living moving sculptures.

On the floor, standing, in groups or solo, through pared-back, graphic gestures, the eight performers traverse the space with perfect mastery, endlessly renewing the tableaux they compose.

The vibrations and reflections interact with the movements right up to the final apotheosis, where light floods the stage and the auditorium. A luminous piece! Reservations for people with reduced mobility: 01 41 83 15 20
