Overview
Canadian singer-songwriter and award-winning artist Loreena McKennitt announces a 30-date European tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her album ‘The Mask and The Mirror’.
These dates, taking place in spring 2027 and visiting nine countries including France, mark the third leg of the artist's anniversary tour, celebrating the 1994 release of this landmark album. Often described as a defining moment in her career, it is praised for its ‘intercultural fertilisation’ blending Celtic, Spanish and Moroccan influences. On its release, the LA Times described it as ‘music full of dark depths, spiritual aspirations and echoes from centuries past’. The album, which the artist herself considers ‘a historic and musical pilgrimage’, has sold more than two million copies worldwide.
At each concert, Loreena McKennitt will showcase the fans' favourite songs and perform all the songs from ‘The Mask and The Mirror’ in order.
She will be joined by her musicians Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin, Dudley Phillips on bass and Robert Brian on drums.
