Nouvel album, nouveau label, nouveau chapitre pour Mammal Hands. Circadia, opus bien nommé, fait l’éloge des cycles, du renouveau et de la transformation.
Leur jazz, toujours nourri d’ambient, d’electronica, de musique minimaliste, nous propulse plus que jamais de boucles magnétiques en mouvements propices à l’improvisation, de motifs répétitifs en plages méditatives, de développements patiemment nourris en éblouissements harmoniques.
L’écriture fouillée, la couleur unique des compositions des frères Smart, guidées et boostées par les pulsations métronomiques du batteur Rob Turner (ex GoGo Penguin) se parent d’explorations sonores nouvelles.
