With Children of Destiny, he returns to one of the most striking series of his work: these stories of children caught in history's turmoil. Born with his first album in 2004, these pieces tell of fates broken by the world's great movements: colonization, war, slavery, oppression.

But behind events, there is always a face, a name, an interrupted childhood. David, Souhan, Kunta Kinte, Nour, or Yasser... Whether real or fictional, the Children of Destiny become bearers of collective memory.

Through them unfolds a historical fresco where yesterday's violences seem to dialogue with today's. In this new scenic form, Médine revisits these narratives in an intimate acoustic configuration.

5 hours, carried by Guillaume Zolnierowsky's piano and guitar, as well as Shéhérazade's voice and cello, he unfolds these stories as a modern storyteller. On stage, Karinale Lo van Zaouiche intervenes in touches, opening breaches in the narrative.

In these dialogued interludes, speech circulates, questions, doubts. History ceases to be a simple account of the past to become an interrogation about the present. Between concert and theater, Children of Destiny invents a hybrid territory. A suspended place.
