Miyazaki Dreams

Audiences will be immersed in the magical atmosphere of the animated films of the great Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, along with other masterpieces of animation from the Land of the Rising Sun, at the "Miyazaki Dreams" concert by Simple Music Ensemble World.

Hayao Miyazaki has profoundly shaped the world of animated cinema, addressing themes such as emotional sincerity, humanism, family, pacifism, and a fascination with flying machines.

Joe Hisaishi, a Japanese composer and pianist, is world-renowned for his collaboration with the director. Audiences will embark on an extraordinary journey alongside their favourite anime heroes.

Artists from the chamber music community will perform works from Hayao Miyazaki films such as Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro and Castle in the Sky, as well as other iconic worlds of Japanese animation, such as Sailor Moon, Spirited Away, Evangelion, Naruto and many more.

The compositions you'll hear at this concert form a true musical language, accessible both to fans of Japanese animation and to the general public who have crossed paths, even once, with the world of animated films and series.

The concert programme will consist of music only, with no film footage.
