Overview
It is indeed a hunting party, in every sense of the term, that Feydeau invites us to in this scathing vaudeville, which with few characters creates a maximum of burlesque and hilarious situations.
Taking advantage of his friend Duchotel's departure for a hunting trip, Moricet courts his wife Léontine. She initially refuses, unless she were to discover that she herself was being cheated on, which inevitably happens...
Everyone then finds themselves at the same address under the roof of Countess Latour: at 40 rue d'Athènes..
