Overview
Faced with the collapse of the world, one question presents itself: might the true débâcle be that of love? With an incandescent text, conceived as a logbook, Greek-Swiss director Anna Lemonaki and Franco-Swiss author Julie Gilbert take the catastrophe from the flank and plunge into the heart of the relationship.
On stage, an immense vertical wall becomes the playing area. Eight performers (dancers, climbers, and musicians, women and men alike) replay the choreography of love: launching themselves, clinging on, falling, getting back up.
The bodies defy gravity, caught in a story that wavers without ever giving way. Words pass from one language to another, moving from the intimate to the collective and sketching a fragile humanity in search of common ground.
Until suddenly something gives way: a celebration erupts, irresistible. The stage catches fire and sweeps everything along in its path. Here, loving becomes an act of resistance. A burning necessity, to be shared, come what may. ↘ With the Centre culturel suisse.
