The French Youth Orchestra today forms artists aged 16–25 who, tomorrow, will practice the profession of orchestra musician in France and around the world.

Since summer 2023, the orchestra has been in residence in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and during the autumn session, known as "classic," the musicians stay and work at the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans.

For this residence exit, it is at Châtelet that the French Youth Orchestra gives one of its first concerts, under the direction of violinist and conductor Guillaume Chilemme.

Two of the forty-one symphonies composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are on the program: the first… and the last, called "Jupiter," perhaps the most famous of all and marking the apex of his orchestral work.

But the voice is also at the rendezvous of this concert, with a selection of Schubert lieder, performed by Sandrine Piau.

Orchestrated by composers of the 20th century, with the exception of Jacques Offenbach, these lieder put into perspective the succession of classical, romantic and modern styles, during a concert. Program Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Symphony No.
