Retrouver la Nuit

The encounter of two women, a writer and an actress, to carry the voice of so many others. One does not leave a spell in detention unscathed. Manon Ona brings to the stage for Lisa Boudet-Valette rare testimonies of intact humanity.

Retrouver la nuit is a duet, the Inmate & the Warden, to give a voice to secret journeys, unknown to the public, hidden behind the walls of the prison universe. It all starts with the need to tell a story. To recount a personal and collective experience at the same time.

To preserve the memory of one's experience and carry the voice of others, of prison comrades.

It is this work of collecting testimonies that Lisa Boudet-Valette placed in the hands of Manon Ona, a Toulouse-based writer whose words you have regularly heard on the boards of the Grand Rond.

Retrouver la nuit is a sound and visual immersion that transports you between the 4 walls of a prison: "There are so many noises here that they pursue me, these noises, and at home I still hear them. On days off, at night, in the city or in the countryside: they pursue me.

Like grasshoppers in my left ear. " Beyond the prison shock, an unexpected dive into a human community to recount loneliness, doubts, but also hopes and vitality. A creation not to be missed.
