SOMBR - You Are The Reason Tour

They have been described as the obvious heir to Gen Z rock, but in many ways sombr remains Shane Boose: the young man who found his voice in a makeshift studio set up in his bedroom in the Lower East Side, and who is still today the sole writer and co-producer of his internationally acclaimed songs. At just 20, this New Yorker taught himself production and recorded at night, while studying classical music and vocal performance at the prestigious LaGuardia High School, a public specialist school in New York.

Today, with an irresistible blend of arena-ready pop, indie melancholy and glam charisma, he tells stories of young love with a vulnerability and depth that win over audiences around the world. In 2025, his hit "back to friends" reached number one on the global and US Spotify charts, entered the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 (at #7), dominated alternative radio (#1 for 5 weeks) and is now the number one pop track in the United States.

His meteoric rise is also reflected in his headline tours across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, which have sold out in record time and have featured surprise guests such as Sam Smith and Laufey.

sombr began 2026 with a nomination for the GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist, after a year in which he made his mark at the MTV VMAs, where he performed and won the award for "Best Alternative", before appearing on the Fallon and Kimmel shows and making a memorable appearance on SNL. He also released his debut album, I Barely Know Her, co-produced by the legendary Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, The Replacements). The album received almost unanimously glowing reviews, while three of his singles charted simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100.
