Overview
DJ and broadcaster Gilles Peterson takes over La Marbrerie for a show alongside the Sweet Apric∞ts collective.
Gilles Peterson has been a central figure in the British and international music scene since the mid-1980s. Founder of influential labels such as Acid Jazz Records and later Talkin' Loud, this major promoter of contemporary jazz, soul and electronic music has made his mark through his radio work and record collection. On stage, he delivers cross-genre sets that bridge different eras and styles, ranging from the roots of jazz to cutting-edge club productions.
La Marbrerie, located in a former industrial workshop in Montreuil, provides a venue well-suited to this kind of cross-disciplinary bill. This evening is designed for lovers of sonic curiosities and the intersections between jazz and electronic music, drawn by the musical selection curated by the night's various performers.
