The life of Hokusai

The life, the passion and the spirit of Hokusai.

The Life of Hokusai: the passion and spirit of Hokusai. The Life of Hokusai portrays the private world of the Japanese master Katsushika Hokusai in a non-verbal show blending traditional Japanese music, martial arts performances and digital projections. After a stroke and the loss of everything in a fire, Hokusai paints with an indomitable energy. The sudden death of his wife Koto confronts him with the meaning of his life and his art. On stage, dragons and landscapes of Mount Fuji come to life, revealing a bold and passionate painter, for an immersive, poetic and deeply emotional experience.
