THE LILACS (10:30pm) (Indie rock - Wigan, UK). Hailing from the north of England, The Lilacs are an energy-filled indie band from Wigan.
Within just a few years, the band went from local favourite to national phenomenon, cementing its reputation with a landmark sold-out concert at Manchester Academy 1 on 22 November 2025.
With tens of thousands of listeners on Spotify and millions of streams worldwide, the band has become a staple on the airwaves, from BBC Radio 1 and Radio X to their local champions at XS Manchester.
Their debut single, 'Vicarage Road', remains an anthem of the scene, now featuring on thousands of curated playlists and serving as a catalyst for their rise.
Born from a deep friendship forged within a former band, Ollie Anglesea (vocals) and Sam Birchall (lead guitar) developed the desire to create their own legacy. The line-up was completed in October 2018 with the arrival of Dave Gomersall (drums) and Matt Johnson (bass).
The band's name has profound significance. It draws inspiration from the Lilac Centre, a specialist cancer centre where Sam's mother was treated during her battle with metastatic breast cancer.
