Il présentera sur scène « Just Beyond Endless Mountain », son nouvel album studio inspiré de ses racines musicales suédoises, à paraître le 9 octobre 2026 via ANTI- Records.
Pendant près de vingt ans, le chanteur et auteur-compositeur suédois Kristian Matsson a parcouru le monde sous le nom de The Tallest Man on Earth. Sa discographie a longtemps été perçue à travers le prisme de la tradition folk américaine.
« Just Beyond Endless Mountain » renverse discrètement cette perspective.
Après être retourné dans sa Dalarna natale, au centre de la Suède, Kristian Matsson s’est retrouvé à écouter la musique qu’il avait passé des années à vouloir laisser derrière lui: les polskas, les anciens enregistrements de terrain et les sonorités des traditions locales qui l’avaient entouré depuis l’enfance.
Le résultat n’est pas un retour vers le passé, mais un pas vers un nouveau territoire musical. La musique folk suédoise a transformé ses mélodies, sa voix et sa manière d’écrire des chansons.
