Overview
The Tallest Man on Earth, a major songwriter in contemporary folk, announces a European tour in 2027 and will be passing through Paris on 15 February at the Gaîté Lyrique.
On stage, he will present "Just Beyond Endless Mountain", his new studio album inspired by his Swedish musical roots, due for release on 9 October 2026 via ANTI- Records.
For nearly twenty years, Swedish singer and songwriter Kristian Matsson has toured the world under the name The Tallest Man on Earth. His discography has long been viewed through the prism of the American folk tradition.
"Just Beyond Endless Mountain" quietly overturns this perspective.
After returning to his native Dalarna in central Sweden, Kristian Matsson found himself listening to the music he had spent years trying to leave behind: polskas, vintage field recordings and the sounds of local traditions that had surrounded him since childhood.
The result is not a return to the past, but a step into new musical territory. Swedish folk music has transformed his melodies, his voice and his way of writing songs.
