Toujours Cela Bruit en Moi

With Toujours cela bruit en moi, Lo Guénin, directed by Céleste Germe (Das Plateau), creates a sound fable on the border between a concert and a musical piece, which traverses the exit from childhood and the entry into adolescence.

An eleven-year-old, then a fifteen-year-old adolescent, at secondary school, not without difficulties, in friction with himself and with others. Poetry, music, only sounds make his body perceptible.

Deeply rooted in reality, this show deploys a writing made of echoes and displacements, where poetry is born from the attention paid to details and perceptions. An invitation to traverse memory while emotions surface.

Lo Guénin scrutinises developing identity, the gaze of others, shame, the norms that shape and constrain, but also the power of imagination and childhood. We are invited to celebrate atypical trajectories, the unconventional, fragile strengths.

The noise of others gives way to a song of one's own.
