18 TRIO DE TURIN (Trio di Torino) Sergio Lamberto, violin Jacopo Di Tonno, cello Giacomo Fuga, piano Established in 1987, the ensemble has pursued intense artistic activity since then, leading it to be invited by prestigious musical associations and international festivals, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Settimane Musicali di Stresa, the Festival dei Due Mondi, the Unione Musicale di Torino, the Mahler Festival and Settembre Musica.

Winner of first prize at the International Viotti Competition in 1990 and second prize at the International Osaka Competition in 1993, the ensemble also won second prize at the International Trapani Competition in 1995 in its quintet formation with piano, with the participation of violinist Marina Bertolo and violist Gustavo Fioravanti.

The ensemble has performed in France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Japan. Its vast repertoire extends from 18th-century classics to contemporary composers.

Its discography includes works by Johannes Brahms, Antonín Dvořák, Frédéric Chopin, Bedrich Smetana, Sergei Rachmaninov and Dmitri Shostakovich, as well as works by lesser-known composers such as Anton Rubinstein and Sergei Taneïev.

All recordings have been published by Real Sound?. Sergio Lamberto is a violin professor at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Turin. Since 1989 he has been concertmaster of the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra. For ten years he held the same position with 'I Solisti di Pavia'.

Jacopo Di Tonno is a cello professor at the Giuseppe Nicolini Conservatoire and cellist of the Klimt Quartet. Giacomo Fuga is a chamber music professor at the Turin Conservatoire.
