I also know it was French cultural exception that allowed my rap to advance. So yes, there have been antagonisms, stigmatizations… But my French culture, my French rap, my francophony, I learned them in France! Youssoupha.

This concert is first and foremost a meeting between a rapper, a pianist, a choir and an orchestra, conducted by Olivier Koundouno. It is also a meeting between several musical styles: rap, gospel and so-called "classical" music.

Carried by the socially engaged lyrics of Franco-Congolese rapper Youssoupha, the choristers and instrumentalists bring to life the arrangements made by the orchestra conductor, Olivier Koundouno.

At the intersection of film music and grand opera while abandoning nothing of rap, whose taste for sampling has been preserved, the composer and arranger orchestrated an original score, devoid of pre-recorded sequences, deejays and rhythm sections (drums, bass), allowing for the expression of rubato, to the benefit of phrasing.

And that is without counting the presence, on keyboard, of Manu Sauvage! All the ingredients combined for this… experience!
