Zentone is not a simple collaboration, it is the historic fusion of two monuments of French dub: Zenzile (the godfathers of dub tinged with rock and poetry) and High Tone (the Lyonnese masters of powerful and futuristic dub-electro).

Twenty years after their first studio encounter, they return to present their most accomplished project: Messenger. A live that promises to be a monumental dub mass. What is their story? The story of Zentone begins in the early 2000s, at the golden age of hexagonal dub.

At the time, the two bands shared the same desire to shake up the codes of instrumental reggae by injecting machines and rock or electro textures. After a first joint album that remained etched in memory, they decided to transform this ephemeral project into a full-fledged band.

To give a new dimension to this adventure, they integrated singer Jolly Joseph. His voice brings a "roots" soul and vocal power that perfectly ties together the universes of the two formations. What atmosphere to expect on stage? The Zentone concert is a physical experience.

It is the meeting between the warmth of a rock band playing live and the hypnotic power of electronic music. On stage, the musicians face each other, blend their instruments (heavy basses, hypnotic drums, brass, machines) and reinvent their songs live with "delays" and "reverbs".
