Overview
Zenzile (Angers) and High Tone (Lyon) joined forces to become Zentone. The project went beyond the initial exchange of mixes to establish itself as a tight-knit stage act shaped by
The collaboration grew stronger over the course of a marathon tour: the adventure turned the encounter between punk-rock from Angers and electro from Lyon into a permanent line-up of eight musicians.
As Julien (High Tone) explains: « un jeu collectif, une écoute, une énergie partagée » emerged from the experience. Jolly Joseph's joining the tour marked a turn towards roots sounds, immortalised on the album Messenger (2025).
For Raggy (Zenzile), the challenge of this album was to « garder la synergie développée pendant la tournée ». The recording sessions favoured the raw energy of live playing, with heavy basslines in dialogue with electronic keys.
It is now on stage that this alchemy comes into its full force: a sonic experience to be lived intensely. Latest album: Messenger, 2025, Jarring Effects / Wiser Records
