About — The artist
Arnaud Askoy, whose real name is Arnaud Bassecourt, is a French artist known for his interpretation of Jacques Brel's repertoire. A former police officer, he retrained as a singer, writer, and painter. He is primarily recognised for his show La Promesse Brel, in which he pays tribute to the Belgian artist.
