About — The artist

Bridget Kearney is an American musician and songwriter. She is a founding member of the band Lake Street Dive and a winner of the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Jazz category.

Kearney's solo recording work began with her debut solo album, Won't Let You Down, which took three years to record, with much encouragement and support from drummer, sound engineer and producer Robin MacMillan at his studio in Brooklyn, and was released by Signature Sounds Recordings in 2017. Several singles followed, some of which appeared on her second solo album, Snakes of Paradise, self-produced in 2023. Likewise, singles from her third album, Comeback Kid, were released ahead of the album itself on 12 April 2024 on Keeled Scales, across a growing number of streaming platforms and social networks such as Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and Instagram, as well as physical channels like Bandcamp.
