About — The artist

Dazzling Killmen is a math rock band from the 1990s. Musically, they combined noisy punk rock with complex, jazzy arrangements reminiscent of Sun Ra's style. The band was formed by jazz students from the Midwest — Blake Fleming on drums, Tim Garrigan on guitar, and Darin Gray on bass — and singer Nick Sakes. The St. Louis, Missouri-based group caught the attention of Skin Graft Records, which released two albums and several singles before the band's dissolution.

Its members are currently better known for their subsequent projects — such as Laddio Bolocko, The Mars Volta, and Electric Turn to Me for Fleming; Colossamite and Sicbay for Sakes; and the collaboration between Gray and Jim O'Rourke, Brise-Glace.
