About — The artist
Evergrey is a Swedish progressive metal band from Gothenburg. Formed in 1993, they released their debut studio album, The Dark Discovery, in 1998. After releasing six more albums in less than ten years, the band went through a period of instability. They returned with their album, Hymns for the Broken, released in September 2014, and have since released an average of one album every two years. Singer and guitarist Tom Englund is the only permanent member of the band since its inception.
