About — The artist
Ezra Collective is a British jazz quintet composed of drummer and leader Femi Koleoso, bassist TJ Koleoso, keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, trumpeter Ife Ogunjobi, and tenor saxophonist James Mollison. Their music blends afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop, soul, and jazz. They regularly collaborate with other London jazz musicians such as Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd.
Their debut album, You Can't Steal My Joy, was released in 2019. In 2023, their second album, Where I'm Meant To Be, won the Mercury Prize. At the Brit Awards 2025, Ezra Collective became the first jazz group to win the Group of the Year award.
