Henri Texier, born on January 27, 1945, in Paris, is a French jazz double bassist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, bandleader, and composer.
From the generation that grew up with free jazz, and a highly sought-after accompanist, he has a long career as a leader, playing in groups that have left their mark on French jazz, notably, in the late 1970s, in a string trio with Didier Lockwood (violin) and Jean-Charles Capon (cello), and in a trio with François Jeanneau and Daniel Humair.
