About — The artist
Hypno5e, sometimes stylised HYPNO5E, is a French experimental metal band from Montpellier. Its members describe it as a “cinematic metal” band, as it was formed to combine two of their passions: music and cinema. The lyrics of their songs are in French, English, and Spanish, and incorporate excerpts from various literary and cinematographic works (Albert Camus's L'Étranger, Jean-Luc Godard's Pierrot le Fou...). Most of the band members are also part of the parallel project A Backward Glance on a Travel Road.
