About — The artist
Hypno5e, sometimes styled HYPNO5E, is a French experimental metal group, from Montpellier. Its members describe it as a "cinematic metal" group, as it was formed to combine two of their passions: music and film. Their lyrics are in French, English and Spanish, and incorporate excerpts from various literary and film works (Albert Camus's L'Étranger, Jean-Luc Godard's Pierrot le Fou...). Most of the group's members are also part of the parallel project A Backward Glance on a Travel Road.
