About — The artist
Klone is a French progressive metal band from Poitiers, in the Vienne department. The group was initially formed in 1995 under the name Sowat. In 1999, Sowat was renamed Klone.
After releasing two demos in 2002 and 2003, Klone released Duplicate, a self-produced debut album, in January 2004. In 2008, Klone released the album All Seeing Eye, followed by Black Days in 2010. Klone released the album The Dreamer's Hideaway in 2012. In 2017, Klone released the acoustic live album titled Unplugged. Their latest album, Le Grand Voyage, released in 2019, marked a turning point for Klone, making them the only French band to sign with the English label Kscope, alongside progressive scene stalwarts such as Katatonia, Porcupine Tree, Anathema, and Steven Wilson.
