About — The artist
Ibrahim Maalouf has taken the trumpet out of the jazz club and into arenas: born in Beirut, trained in classical music, he plays the quarter-tone trumpet invented by his father and merges jazz, Arab music, pop and funk with contagious generosity. Multi-awarded at the Victoires de la musique, prolific composer for film, he has become France's most popular instrumental musician. His Paris concerts, celebratory and brotherly trumpet parties, fill the largest venues.
