Ice Nine Kills (sometimes referred to as ICE NINE KILLS or INK for short) is an American metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts. Ice Nine Kills was formed in 2002 by high school friends Spencer Charnas and Jeremy Schwartz.
Since its formation, Ice Nine Kills has released a total of three EPs — The Burning, 2 Song Acoustic, The Predator — as well as six studio albums: Last Chance to Make Amends, Safe is Just a Shadow, The Predator Becomes the Prey, Every Trick in the Book, The Silver Scream, and Welcome To Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2.
Their band name is derived from a fictional substance in Kurt Vonnegut's science fiction novel Cat's Cradle, ice-nine.
