Laura Pausini is an Italian singer and television personality, born May 16, 1974 in Faenza, Emilia-Romagna. She gained prominence in her native country at the 1993 Sanremo Festival with the song La Solitudine, and achieved success in several European and Spanish-speaking countries, thanks to her albums in Spanish, Portuguese and English, languages she speaks fluently. She has also sung several songs in French, including duets with French-speaking artists such as Charles Aznavour, Johnny Hallyday, Hélène Ségara and Lara Fabian.
One of her singles Limpido, sung in duet with Kylie Minogue, reached the top of the charts in Italy and received a World Music Awards nomination.
Laura Pausini is the only Italian artist to have won a Grammy Award, four Latin Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe. Furthermore, she was nominated for the 2021 Oscars. She has sold nearly 70 million albums.
