Lenny Kravitz, born 26 May 1964 in New York, is an American singer-songwriter, musician, producer and actor.
His compositions blend elements as varied as psychedelic rock, hard rock, rhythm and blues, soul, neo soul, funk and pop. His influences are numerous and include Jimi Hendrix, Funkadelic, John Lennon, Prince, The Jackson 5, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and Led Zeppelin.
He sings and provides backing vocals on his recordings, a complete musician who plays many instruments on his albums: guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and percussion.
Occasionally an actor, he notably played Cinna in Hunger Games and its sequel.
On 12 March 2024, he received his star on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard where his daughter Zoë gave a touching tribute speech.
