Lounis Aït Menguellet (in Kabyle: Lewnis At Mengellat, in Tifinagh: ⵍⵓⵏⵉⵙ ⴰⵜ ⵎⴻⵏⴳⴻⵍⴰⵜ), whose real name is Abdenbi Aït Menguellet, born on 17 January 1950 in Ighil Bouammas in the commune of Iboudraren, daïra of Ath Yenni in Algeria, is an Algerian poet and singer who performs in Kabyle.
Lounis Aït Menguellet is certainly one of the most popular artists in contemporary Berber music, a poet who has become one of the symbols of the Berber identity movement.
