Sparta is an American post-hardcore band from El Paso, Texas. The band was originally founded by former members of At the Drive-In: Jim Ward, Paul Hinojos, and Tony Hajjar. The other two members of At the Drive-In, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López, went on to form The Mars Volta, later joined by Paul Hinojos.
The band is produced by Hollywood Records. They have played with bands such as Thursday.
