About — The artist
The Fray is an American rock band, from Denver, Colorado. It was formed in 2002 by Isaac Slade (vocals and piano) and Joe King (guitar and vocals). The band was later rounded out with Ben Wysocki on drums and Dave Welsh on guitar.
With the support of a local Denver radio station, the band recorded their first EP, Movement. The Fray were voted "best new band" by Westword Magazine, and quickly rose to the top of the charts at Denver record stores. On the back of this success, the band signed with Epic Records, who released their album How to Save a Life in September 2005. In March 2009, the band released a new album titled The Fray. This album, which sold more than 300,000 copies, went straight into the album charts, while the single You Found Me became one of their best-selling singles.
On 7 February 2012, their third album, titled Scars and Stories, was released. Heartbeat and The Fighters are the lead tracks from this album.
