About — The artist
Les Vulves Assassines are a French-speaking electro-punk-rap band formed in 2013 in Paris. The band is known for its activist commitment. Its members identify as Marxist and feminist, and regularly display CGT trade union logos as part of their stage act. Their explicit and sometimes humorous lyrics incisively denounce social inequality and gender-based violence.
The band gained wider public recognition in 2023 during the social movement against pension reform, through their flagship track La retraite, regularly chanted at demonstrations.
