À mots doux

What goes on inside the head of a teenager who is an absolute Mylène Farmer fan? To uncover the mystery, Thomas Quillardet invites us into Sylvain's bedroom. This cosy refuge turns out to be a mental space in which he lives out his passion without restraint, in sweet words and at full volume! A fresh, joyful musical theatre piece.

« Puisqu'il faut choisir / À mots doux je peux le dire  »...

Sylvain, 14, knows every lyric to every Mylène Farmer song, not to mention the choreography. This adulation takes over his daily life: he eats Mylène, he sleeps Mylène, and above all he dreams Mylène, even managing to conjure the star's close bodyguard into his bedroom. The loneliness of adolescence is broken, the passion is shared, and the bedroom becomes a joyful chaos: they sing, they dance, they let loose!

With infinite delicacy and plenty of fantasy, Thomas Quillardet and six performers, actors, singers and musicians, give body to this adolescence marked by raw emotions. For behind the fan attitude lies a deeper quest: the quest for the self. Blending humour, melancholy and poetic flights, the show captures with precision that fragile moment when we search for ourselves and for role models, when we invent ourselves and finally allow ourselves to be.

And in this complicit face-to-face with the audience, Sylvain grows, gently but surely.
