Beethoven Sonata No. 29 Op. 106 "Hammerklavier"
Chopin 2 Nocturnes, op. 27 Scherzo No. 4 op. 54
Rachmaninov Sonata No. 2 op. 36
In a few words
At sixteen, Grigory Sokolov won the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. What, then, can be said of his protégée Alexandra Dovgan who, at the same age, has moved beyond the stage of music competitions for "a long time"! The young Russian pianist returns with Beethoven's immense "Hammerklavier", Chopin and Rachmaninov's Sonata No. 2, for which the composer chose the same key of B-flat minor as Chopin's Sonata No. 2, of which he was a great admirer. When admiration plays out as an echo.
