Andreï Korobeinikov
Andreï Korobeinikov piano. Korobeinikov brings the legendary Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett back to life.
Overview
Andreï Korobeinikov piano. Korobeinikov brings the legendary Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett back to life. Beethoven Sonata No. 21 "Waldstein", Scriabin Sonata No. 5, Waltz Op. 38, Jarrett The Köln Concert (Part 1), Beethoven Sonata No. 31.
In a few words: Andreï Korobeinikov is a keyboard prodigy (with no fewer than twenty competitions won to his name) and a bright young mind (he holds a law degree and has published several books).
For this new recital, he will move from Beethoven towards his beloved Scriabin (one of whose finest interpreters he is), before slipping into a legend that under-20s may not know — and yet!
A magical concert, entirely improvised by the inimitable Keith Jarrett in January 1975 in Cologne (hence the name of the album released in the wake of the concert). Fifty years after that memorable evening, this improvisation has become a classic reaching far beyond jazz lovers.
Rarely performed live, Korobeinikov offers us tonight the chance to "(re)live" its first part. Co-production: Théâtre des Champs-Élysées | Productions Internationales Albert Sarfati.
