Overview
In 2026-2027, the Nadia et Lili Boulanger Conservatoire invites students, families and audiences to set sail on a voyage into the heart of the Lusophone worlds. Entitled Atlantiques - Traversées des mondes lusophones, this artistic and educational season will explore the links between Portugal, Brazil, Lusophone Africa and France through concerts, dance, theatre, talks and shared creations.
This year, the Nadia et Lili Boulanger Conservatoire is spotlighting Lusophone cultures through a unifying project that will accompany students throughout the 2026-2027 season. Titled Atlantiques : Traversées des mondes lusophones, this artistic journey sets out to explore the exchanges, influences and legacies that have connected Europe, Africa and South America for centuries.
Music, dance and theatre will come together across concerts, performances, lectures and participatory projects inspired by the cultures of Portugal, Brazil and the Lusophone countries of Africa. Throughout the year, students, guest artists and cultural partners will bring this journey across continents, cultures and disciplines to life.
Over the course of the year, several highlights will enrich the project: concerts, lectures, partnerships with French and Portuguese cultural institutions, and a new work built around Chico Buarque's Ópera do Malandro, drawing on several of the conservatoire's disciplines.
From the world of Fernando Pessoa to the popular rhythms of Brazil, by way of Portuguese musical and choreographic traditions, Atlantiques is an invitation to discover the richness and diversity of a cultural space shaped by travel, encounters and cross-cultural mixing.
A season to experience together, at the Conservatoire and beyond its walls.
